As we have progressed into manufacturing one of the largest ranges on supercharger components mainly for inline powered engines Aussiespeed has been forced into designing, testing and manufacturing our own supercharger drive systems. Our team has spent countless hours measuring, manufacturing jigs and fixtures as well as performing experiments and tests on components to deliver an Australian made supercharger drive system that can be used on both spline and pin and coupler type super chargers.
The outer drive of Aussiespeed supercharger drives can be painted, polished or left in a natural blasted aluminum finish.
With sand cast fully machined outer casing our supercharger internal shafts are cnc machined. We use steel supercharger hubs and steel supercharger pulleys over aluminum super charger hubs and aluminum supercharger pulleys. The hub uses a 3/8 unf threaded bolt, domed stainless steel retaining washer and 3/16 steel key into the drive end of the shaft. We do not rely on the bolts to locate the position of the pulley to the drive hub as it locates on the outer edge of the hub and the 4 x 6mm metric bolts simply attach the pulley to the hub.
When it comes to the part number on our Aussiespeed supercharger drive snouts this can be a little confusing so below are our standard part numbers the intended use they were designed for and the over all length. The part number refers to the actual super charger shaft length. Not the usable length from the supercharger gear case mounting face.
Spline Drive Snout Assemblies
This is the snout length when measured from the gear case mounting to the end of the Aussiespeed AS0487-24 supercharger steel 4 bolt hub without a pulley mounted to the snout.

The Aussiespeed supercharger top pulley mounts on to the AS0487-24, this is included when you buy a snout assembly and included in the usable length measurements.
If you are trying to work out what the length of the snout will be again measured from the supercharger front cover to the end of a 6 rib pulley you need to add another 30mm to the length.
An Aussiespeed 6 rib supercharger pulley over all is 30mm wide. It locates and recesses 2mm onto the AS0487-24 and adds 28mm to the length of the Aussiespeed super charger drive snout.

An Aussiespeed 10 rib supercharger pulley over all is 37.5mm wide. It locates and recesses 2mm onto the AS0487-24 and adds 35.5mm to the length of the Aussiespeed super charger drive snout.
